A familiarization program that gives disabled individuals an opportunity to experience target shooting with real firearms. This is currently an outdoor program and is weather permitting. It is offered from June to September 2026.

Target Shooting is a exciting sport where a firearm is used to shoot bullets at targets involving proficiency, accuracy, and precision. The ADAPTED TARGET SHOOTING EXPERIENCE is an inclusive recreational target shooting program designed to remove barriers and give disabled individuals the opportunity to participate and experience the sport of target shooting at a fun, recreational level in a safe and supervised setting.
This program is designed for people with a variety of disabilities. Disabilities ranging from but not limited to; paraplegia, tetraplegia, spina bifida, amputee's, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, etc. This program is not limited to one type of impairment or handicap and is open to anyone that needs assistance and/or adapted equipment to actively participate in the sport of target shooting safely and successfully. We utilize equipment from Be Adaptive Equipment and custom built equipment made in collaboration with Tetra Society of North America.
The sport of shooting is a challenging, adventurous, and extremely fun sporting activity. It is very difficult for disabled individuals to participate in shooting sports because the specialized equipment required to allow safe, first-hand participation is extremely rare and very expensive when it is available. Maintaining and transporting equipment presents a challenging barrier. Physical assistance may be required for various aspects of the activity, such as assembly and disassemble, loading and unloading, troubleshooting when errors arise, etc. Our program removes these barriers and allows unfettered participation.
Participating in recreational programs like this provide a huge benefit in the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of individuals participating that are afflicted with disabilities.
This program can empower, motivate, inspire, and uplift its participants, their friends and families, support personnel, and all involved.
